College of Saint Mary's RN to BSN Hybrid Program Ranks as one of the Nation's Best
Omaha, NE - College of Saint Mary's RN to BSN program has been ranked as one of the Nation's best hybrid online and campus-based classroom experiences by RNtoBSN.org.
"Students can potentially complete the RN-BSN program in two-semesters of study by attending nursing courses one-day a week in a hybrid format," explained Dr. Kathleen Zajic, College of Saint Mary Division Chair of Health Professions. "Or, if they prefer, students can take fewer courses and attend part-time. Students must complete a total of 128 credit hours to graduate from the RN-BSN program by combining transfer college credits and credits earned at College of Saint Mary."
College of Saint Mary's RN to BSN program curriculum builds on each student's prior nursing degree and was created with the working professional in mind. In 2013, CSM opened new, state-of-the-art Clinical Nursing and Simulation Labs. This multi-million dollar renovation included wireless classrooms, nursing skills practice labs, along with home health, pediatrics, labor and delivery, medical-surgical and intensive care simulation labs. Significant nursing technology was incorporated in the renovation including simulation de-briefing classrooms, audio-visual simulation recording software, medium and high fidelity patient simulators and automated medication dispensing system. CSM's RN-BSN program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects astounding growth in the nursing profession over the next decade; the number of new jobs in the field is expected to nearly double by 2022. Governing bodies and regulatory agencies have made no secret of the fact that nurses who hold a bachelor's degree have far better career prospects.
