CSM holding its First Annual Homecoming
College of Saint Mary is set for its 1st Annual Homecoming Celebration, Sept. 16-18. The events take place during CSM’s Mercy Week, Monday, Sept. 12 – Saturday, Sep. 24.
“Homecoming at CSM is more than an annual collegiate celebration for alumnae,” says Dr. Christine Pharr. “It’s a coming together of alumnae with current students, faculty and staff.
“Alumnae will definitely have activities that provide reunion. But they will also reconnect with the University and its community, forge new friendships and create new memories.”
One of the opening events is an ice cream social for students, faculty and staff and visitors on the Plaza, Tuesday, Sept. 13.
Some of the weekend events include an opening reception for Alumnae & Community Art Exhibit in Hillmer Art Gallery on Friday, and the 2016 Alumna Achievement and Athletic Hall of Fame awards luncheon, Saturday, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Warde Conference Center.
On Sunday, all alumnae are encouraged to attend Liturgy in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, during which the class of 1966 will be inducted as CSM Figures of Wisdom. A celebration for the newly inducted Class of 1966 will follow in Hillmer Art Gallery.
