CSM hosts 2018 Translation and Interpretation Conference
OMAHA, NEB. – College of Saint Mary will host the Nebraska Association for Translators and Interpreters (NATI) 19th annual conference July 27 & 28. This year’s conference, “Multifaceted Diamonds of Translation and Interpretation,” is designed for attendees to further their professional development in translating and interpreting whether they are beginning their careers or have many years’ experience. This event is planned in collaboration with CSM's Interpreting Program.
The two-day event includes a panel discussion, exam opportunities, and sessions geared toward skills building, ethics, business development and management, and networking.
The keynote speaker will be Prof. Laura Burian from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS). In addition to serving as a dean at MIIS and teaching, Prof. Burian has been an interpreter for several high-profile personalities, including former first lady Michelle Obama.
