Flames Eight Athletic Teams Named NAIA Scholar-Teams
OMAHA, Neb. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that all eight of College of Saint Mary’s (CSM) Athletic Teams were named NAIA Scholar-Teams. Each of the teams earned the academic honor by posting a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or better. The team GPA includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
CSM's tennis team earned a 3.76 cumulatively, ranking them 7th out of all teams in the NAIA, while CSM's swim team posted a 3.69, making them the highest ranking swim team in the NAIA. CSM's six other teams earned team GPAs of 3.28 or better.
Individually, 17 Flames student-athletes earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors while 49 were named Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Scholar Athletes. This is the 5th consecutive year that all of CSM's athletic teams have been named NAIA Scholar-Teams.
