Flanagan named Flames' Head Basketball Coach
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary Athletic Director Jim Krueger announced Wednesday that Jesse Flanagan has been selected as the new head women's basketball. Coach Flanagan is no stranger to the Flames' program as he has been serving as the school's interim head coach over the summer. Coach Flanagan has been managing all duties of the program since the departure of former Head Coach Chuck Brewer.
"I am thrilled to be the new head basketball coach at College of Saint Mary," Flanagan said. "I've enjoyed working with these young women all summer and am eager to start my new role. I've found all the student-athletes and administration to be enthusiastic, hard-working and supportive. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity and am excited to join the CSM family."
Before joining CSM, Flanagan was most recently the head boys' basketball coach at Hampton High School in Hampton, Neb. Flanagan also spent four years serving as the assistant boys' basketball coach at Millard South High School in Omaha.
"Coach Flanagan will be a great addition and fit for the CSM athletic program," Krueger said. "We are looking forward to his enthusiasm in leading the program."
