Flatwater Shakespeare Company to Present Production at CSM

OMAHA, Neb. – The Flatwater Shakespeare Company (FSC) will present two performances of its touring production of “Love’s Labor’s Lost” at College of Saint Mary (CSM).

The company will present a free outdoor performance at 7 p.m., Friday, June 28, on the hills by the soccer field. Those attending are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

The second paid indoor performance will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 29, in Gross Auditorium. A preshow lecture, “Shakespeare and the Rom-Com: Love’s Labor’s Lost Actually,” will be given by FSC Resident Scholar Stephen Buhler, PhD, at 6:30 p.m. Seating is general admission. The cost is $25 for adults, $20 for children ages 14-20 and free for children 13 and under. CSM students, faculty and staff will receive free admission with their campus ID. Buhler is a co-founder of FSC. He is the Aaron Douglas Professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the author of Shakespeare in the Cinema: Ocular Proof. He has published widely on early modern English literary culture. His recent work in theatre includes directing FSC’s first-ever production of “The Winter’s Tale” and directing Angels Theatre Company’s staged reading of “Romeo and Her Sister.”
