Gross Catholic High School Graduate Receives $64,000 Scholarship to College of Saint Mary
College of Saint Mary (CSM) is proud to announce that Raeanne Whitcomb of Bellevue, Nebraska, has been selected as a Marie Curie Scholar starting this fall at CSM. A scholarship check presentation of $64,000 honored Raeanne on Thursday, July 23 at College of Saint Mary. Raeanne is the daughter of Jim and Marianne Whitcomb. She plans to major in biology at CSM. Raeanne’s awards and honors while attending Gross Catholic High School including:
- High Honors (2015, 2014, 2013, 2012)
- National Honors Society (2015, 2014)
College of Saint Mary’s prestigious Marie Curie Scholars Program, funded in part by the National Science Foundation, provides significant financial support and resources for academically talented young women who study science or math. Marie Curie Scholars may receive up to $20,000 annually for four years in gift aid – and participants also receive free tutoring, have opportunities for undergraduate research, may participate in National Institute of Health and NASA research fellowships, and attend and present at national conferences.
