CSM Announces Fall 2023 President’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary announces its president’s honor roll and dean’s list for outstanding undergraduate academic performance for the fall 2023 semester. In total, 86 students were named to the president’s honor roll, while 108 were named to the dean’s list.
“Congratulations to our students for the hard work they put in during the semester to earn this tremendous honor,” said Kimberly Allen, PhD, vice president of academic and student affairs. “I’m so proud of them, their accomplishments and their commitment to excellence.”
To qualify for CSM’s president’s honor roll, students must earn a 3.9 GPA or higher after completing at least 12 semester hours as a full-time student. Students must earn a 3.5 GPA or above for inclusion on the dean's list.
CSM also awarded 55 degrees following winter Commencement. A ceremony was held on Saturday, Dec. 16, in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. Of those graduating, 31 received their doctoral degrees, 18 earned bachelor’s degrees and four received their master’s degrees.
The Commencement address was delivered by alumna Stephanie Bradley Peterson, who graduated from CSM in 1998. She earned bachelor’s degrees in biology, chemistry and mathematics. She is a principal and consulting health actuary in the Milliman East & West Health & Group Benefits Practice in Omaha. CSM President Heather Smith, MBA, presented the degrees to the graduates and provided congratulatory remarks.
Graduation Undergraduate Honors
Graduation with honors is based on the undergraduate student’s quality point average for CSM courses only. To be eligible for honors, the student must complete at least 65 semester hours of CSM courses at the bachelor’s degree level or 37 semester hours at the associate’s degree level.
For Bachelor’s Degrees
Summa cum laude: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.9
Magna cum laude: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.7
Cum laude: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.5
For Associate’s Degrees
With highest honors: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.9
With high honors: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.7
With honors: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.5
