CSM to Host Art Show Featuring Work of Students from Nebraska Colleges
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary will host a month-long art show featuring the works of students from universities across Nebraska in April at Hillmer Art Gallery on the CSM campus, 7000 Mercy Road. The show, which will open on April 2, is sponsored by the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation (CINCF).
Students from CINCF’s 13 member schools have been invited to submit entries to be judged by a team of outside jurors. Cash scholarship prizes and ribbons will be awarded to the top students at a wine and cheese reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.
“It’s not only an honor to host this show but an amazing opportunity for our students to showcase their work with their peers from other universities,” said Jeff Spencer, MFA, assistant professor of art and director of the Hillmer Art Gallery.
The CINCF’s membership includes Bellevue University, Bryan College of Health Sciences, Clarkson College, College of Saint Mary, Concordia University, Creighton University, Doane University, Hastings College, Midland University, Nebraska Methodist College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Union College, and York University.
