College of Saint Mary hires new Sports Information Director
OMAHA, Neb.—The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at College of Saint Mary (CSM) is pleased to announce the hiring of Morgan O’Rear as Sports Information Director (SID). O’Rear currently is a sports writer and photographer at the Douglas County Post-Gazette. Prior to his role at the paper, he served as the statistician and team manager for Grace University’s Athletic Department. He has also written for Christian College Sports Network.
O’Rear is a graduate of Grace University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and History.
“We’re very pleased to have Morgan O’Rear join the Flames Athletic Department,” said Jim Krueger, Flames Athletic Director. “He’s a strong writer and has a great amount of knowledge concerning sports and statistics,” Krueger continued.
O’Rear commented, “It is a pleasure to be here at College of Saint Mary. I look forward to being able to help CSM continue the school’s long history of success in sports.”
College of Saint Mary athletic teams are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Midland Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC). Starting in fall 2015, College of Saint Mary will enter into the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
