Gain an in-depth knowledge in a high-demand subject by choosing a major in elementary education. A minor in any academic subject area is required. In addition, you may choose to major in elementary education with an supplemental endorsement in early childhood education, which would qualify you to teach preschool through sixth grade.
Another option is a dual major in elementary education and special education, which would allow you to work as a general classroom teacher or as a resource teacher in kindergarten through sixth grade.
