Where Roommates Become Friends for Life
Live and learn on our campus
Truly some of the most meaningful college experiences happen in our residence halls. Lifelong friendships often start in your residence hall because you live and learn together! What that means at College of Saint Mary is sharing a room and the events of your day with a roommate, and having access to a community kitchen to prepare your favorite snack before studying in the lounge, or getting comfy to watch a chick flick or scary movie.
The residence life staff and student leaders support all students by providing opportunities to learn and grow in environments that foster academic, personal, emotional, spiritual and community development. Extraordinary students serve as resident advisors (RAs) on every floor. Programs are planned throughout the year to build community and explore various academic, multi-cultural and personal growth topics designed to complement your education like:
- Bea Karp, Holocaust Survivor Speaker
- Healthy Internet Tips
- Young Spirit Dancers for Native American Heritage Month
- Annual Health Fair
Some of the fun activities our Residence Hall Council sponsors include:
- Waffles and Raffles
- Movie Night at Aksarben Village
- Zumba in the Halls!
- Paddle Battle (Ping Pong Tournament)
In the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, we empower and develop women to become leaders and agents of change in the world. Our purpose is to create and provide student-centered, engaging, supportive and safe living environments where students can grow in independence to become respectful and responsible adults.
Part of student life at College of Saint Mary is having the opportunity to learn and practice life skills. Special workshops on understanding your credit score, balancing your checkbook, renting your first apartment and more are offered on a regular basis. Want to know more about how to do something in particular? Just ask and we'll make it happen!
There is security on campus 24/7, and you have access to your residence hall via a keycard.
